Unlike imported coffees that travel thousands of kilometres before reaching Australian roasters, this microlot is grown right here in Australia and roasted fresh by Brewno Specialty Coffee. The result is an exceptionally fresh coffee with a clean, approachable flavour profile that showcases the unique characteristics of Australian-grown Arabica.

With only limited quantities produced each season, Australian-grown specialty coffee remains one of the rarest coffees available, making this a unique opportunity to experience coffee cultivated and roasted entirely on Australian soil.

Processing

This coffee has been washed processed, a method renowned for producing exceptionally clean, vibrant, and well-defined flavours. Shortly after harvesting, the outer fruit is removed from the coffee cherries before the beans are carefully fermented, washed with clean water, and dried under controlled conditions.

The washed process allows the natural characteristics of the Catuí variety and the unique Australian terroir to shine, resulting in a crisp, balanced cup with remarkable clarity. Combined with our medium-dark roast profile, this processing method delivers rich chocolate and caramel sweetness, roasted nut flavours, and a smooth finish while maintaining a subtle brightness that keeps every cup lively and well-balanced.

This coffee is produced from the Catuí Arabica variety, a highly respected cultivar originally developed in Brazil through a cross between Mundo Novo and Caturra.
